Hope by the Sea offers extended care as an additional service after residential alcohol and/or drug rehabilitation has been completed. Located in beautiful San Juan Capistrano California, many of our clients come from nearby coastal communities like Laguna Beach, Laguna Nigel, Newport Beach, San Clemente, Dana Point and other Southern California areas.
Our California extended care program is national in scope, attracting clients from across the United States and a few foreign countries as well. For some individuals who have suffered from drug or alcohol addiction for a long time, a more extensive treatment plan is necessary for relapse prevention. Because the problems that result from long-term chemical dependency cannot be cured overnight, persons suffering from chronic addiction may need additional drug or alcoholism treatment, support, and care beyond what our residential care program offers. Extended Drug and Alcohol Treatment
In addition to the residential programs that we offer, the extended-care program helps individuals to develop and retain the skills needed to live sober for a lifetime. Our extended-care plan helps addicts and alcoholics realize the difference in their quality of life over a longer period of time and comprehend the full severity of their disease. Alcohol and drug abuse treatment must address the physical aspect of substance abuse, as well as psychological and emotional issues that lead to and perpetuate it. Our therapeutic staff helps individuals address the underlying problems that lead them to drugs and alcohol.
Lifetime Skills and Relapse Prevention
Additionally, the individuals involved in the California extended care program learn how to become personally responsible for their actions and how to stop a relapse before it starts. 12-Step Program
We continuously utilize the 12-step program philosophy and encourage our clients to attend 12-step meetings after the residential care and aftercare programs are completed. Hope by the Sea’s individualized, long-term addiction treatment plans are highly successful in helping addicts and alcoholics live new lives in sobriety.
